Find anything in Barcelona

If you want to try something different from Google or Apple maps, check out the official map of the Barcelona City Council. Here you can search not only for services, but also for information on transport, traffic, neighborhoods and much more.

Where is the district of…?

A map of the different neighbourhoods of Barcelona is available on barcelona.cat. For further information within each neighbourhood, make your choice. Keep in mind that from here on the information is only available in Spanish and Catalan.

Metro (Underground) stops

How do I find what Metro stop to get off at for La Maquinista (etc)?

Again, if you are not using the usual map app on your phone, and assuming that you have the street name (for the shopping centre La Maquinista, Ciudad de Asunción), go to the BCN.cat interactive streetmap of Barcelona, enter it in the box on the site and then “search”.

By then choosing “transport and related services” and then “apply” you will insert those on the map. Click on the Metro icon for information on the stop itself. Zoom out if none appear.

Trains

I’ve found the Spanish national rail network RENFE website, but I can’t find the station I’m looking for…

A case of poor site design again. The start page gives you only the major stations. For local trains, you may to go to “Cercanías (Commuter)”, and then select your region (Rodalies de Catalunya, for you staying in Barcelona).

Still can’t find your destination? Then start typing and, if you are lucky enoguh, the form suggestions will give you what you’re looking for.

As noted on our Barcelona transport page, depending on where you are going (eg. to Sabadell, Terrassa…), you may want a local Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC) train, not RENFE at all.

⚠ Remember that currently it is still mandatory to wear a mask.

Postcodes

I know my address, but what’s my postcode?

Go to the Correos (Post Office) postcode finder site. There, enter a street, number and city or select the address from the list of suggestions.

Tourist bus, metro, cycle lanes…

Anyway, if you are looking for more specific maps and routes (tourist bus, metro, cycling lanes, etc) check out our selection of Barcelona maps here.

Can you help me find a…?

… library, swimming pool (etc), in Barcelona. On the same interactive streetmap you can pinpoint bars, bus stops, flamenco clubs, hotels, martial arts clubs, museums… You name it! To do so, make your selection from the list, tick your selections and they’ll show on the map. You can also search for the name of the place if you already know it and it will show you the available options (exhaustive, but not all businesses are listed!).
